The Banca Transilvania Financial Group is streamlining the way it works with its customers and, effective August 7, is removing the requirement to use a company stamp on documents issued by its companies, as well as on those of corporate clients.

From that date, a signed document is as valid as one that is signed and stamped; it is the handwritten signature that gives the document legal force.

Details:

• For corporate clients, all companies in the BT Financial Group — Banca Transilvania, BT Capital Partners, BT Asset Management, BT Leasing, BT Operational Leasing, BT Mic — will accept documents even if the issuing company’s stamp is not affixed. This applies to payment instruments, contracts, certificates and financial documents.
• Documents issued by the Banca Transilvania Financial Group will no longer bear the companies’ official (round) stamp. Exceptions to this rule — cheques, letters of guarantee, etc. — will be made in order to comply with international practice.
• BT forms that include fields reserved for a stamp are being updated gradually.

Banca Transilvania will continue to use, in dealings with customers, certain other types of stamps on some documents, which contain mandatory information such as: the date the transaction was carried out at the BT agency/branch; the registration number on documents received by the bank from customers or issued to them; certification that the information matches the original; acceptance/settlement in the case of payment orders.
