Banca Transilvania is taking a step forward in digitalization: it is launching the BT Sign Up, a modern, free and fast solution that enables opening a current account online in RON, with an attached debit card.

People who want to become customers of the bank need to fill in a few details on BT’s website using their phone or computer, and choose the debit card in RON to be linked to the account. They can choose one of the following contactless cards: Visa Electron, MasterCard BT OmniPass and MasterCard Mondo.

There is no fee for opening and annual administration of the BT account, for card issuance, for purchases made with the card, and for customizing the PIN at the bank’s ATMs. In addition, for Visa Electron and MasterCard BT OmniPass cards, cash withdrawals from BT ATMs are free.

This year, Banca Transilvania has continued to invest in digital solutions to offer customers mobility, time savings, lower costs and the ability to manage their money themselves. The most important of these are:

• The platform CIP online for checking payment incidents;
• Online transactions with BT cards: authentication using a one-time password received by SMS;
• Contactless wristband, which can replace the card for purchases by accessing the current account in RON held with BT, and the ability to pay contactless, regardless of the amount, in Romania and abroad;
• BT24 Mobile Banking - the option to authenticate by fingerprint, making it easier to access the app; the app has also been upgraded;
• The first integrated platform dedicated to entrepreneurial physicians, www.diviziapentrumedici.ro,  with information tailored by medical specialty, online advisory services, and the option to apply for BT products and services;
• Continuing to launch online shopping campaigns, the most recent being Banksylvania.
