Ömer Tetik, CEO of Banca Transilvania, was named Banker of the Year for Piata Financiara’s 25th anniversary. Ömer Tetik has been with the bank since 2013, and under his leadership Banca Transilvania has become the market leader in banking. He has been in Romania since 2000, when he came as a deputy vice president at Finansbank. He later became vice president at Credit Europe Bank (ex Finansbank) in 2010, and subsequently president.

“I’ve been fortunate to have excellent colleagues and managers everywhere. There are many bankers and banks who deserve these awards, because we are part of an important, high-performing sector that has been through a lot, and we were all fellow travelers in a difficult year — but we hope better days are ahead. I’m glad that Banca Transilvania has such an impact on the economy and in the community. We are, of course, honored by these awards, and I thank the team, because together we are building this beautiful story in banking.” – said Ömer Tetik at the event organized by Piata Financiara to mark its 25th anniversary, held on December 7 this year.

At the same event, Banca Transilvania received the Bank of the Year award, and BT Asset Management received the award for the performance of the BT Index Romania ROTX fund.
