Over 10,000 people became Banca Transilvania customers in just two months without any need to visit a branch, simply by using the BT Pay app to open a current account.

The Open a current account via BT Pay option, launched by the bank in January this year, is especially popular with Generation Z and Generation Y (Millennials): almost 50% of new customers are aged between 18 and 24, and 30% are between 25 and 35.

At present, one in four new Banca Transilvania customers choose BT Pay to open a current account.

Opening a current account via BT Pay:

• It can be done at any time, in just a few minutes.
• Customers get immediate access to all app features.
• Customers receive a digital debit card instantly in the app and, later, the physical card, either at one of the bank's branches or delivered to their chosen address. The card can be funded either by IBAN transfer or from a card issued by another bank added in BT Pay.

BT Pay helps boost online banking adoption and financial inclusion. The app can be downloaded from Google Play, App Store and Huawei App Gallery.
