Banca Transilvania received the SME Bank of the Year award at the Financial Leaders Hall of Fame Awards 2017 gala. The event took place on October 31, 2017, in Bucharest and was attended by more than 100 representatives from the financial and banking industry.

The award for Banca Transilvania was accepted by our colleague Dragos Ungureanu, Deputy Commercial Director, SMEs.

In 2017 alone, Banca Transilvania granted over 17,000 new loans to more than 11,000 companies, which together employ approximately 21,000 people. Financing went to a wide range of sectors, mainly trade, manufacturing, transportation and IT. Over 2 billion lei were allocated to SMEs and micro enterprises.
