Ziarul Financiar, Banca Transilvania and Victoriabank are organizing the conference 100 Ideas for Growth: Republic of Moldova – Romania. Investment, Trade, Finance on Thursday, 12 July, in Chisinau. The event is a first: it is ZF’s first initiative of its kind dedicated to business partnerships between the two countries.

More than 100 entrepreneurs, bankers and economists are expected to attend, giving them the opportunity to identify together the best ideas to spur economic growth in the Republic of Moldova. Banca Transilvania will be represented by CEO Ömer Tetik, and Victoriabank by its President, Bogdan Plesuvescu.

The event will be opened by Angela Sax, Director, European Bank for Reconstruction and Development, and by His Excellency Daniel Ionita, Romania’s Ambassador to the Republic of Moldova. Speakers will also include: Florin Vasilica (Partner, EY Romania), Roman Stirbu (General Manager, Simpals SRL), Eugen Mosanu (Commercial Director, Bass Systems SRL), Valeriu Lazar (CEO, Business Intelligent Services SRL), Petru Chitanu (Director, Clinica Sante SRL), Sergiu Chirca (CEO, Elefant.ro), John Maxemchuk (COO, Purcari Wineries PLC) and Dan Nutiu (Director, Betty Ice SRL). The conference will be moderated by Cristian Hostiuc, Editorial Director, Ziarul Financiar.

Banca Transilvania and the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development are the majority shareholders of Victoriabank, the third-largest bank in the Republic of Moldova by assets. It has nearly 570,000 customers and about 100 branches. Victoriabank began operations in 1989 and is the first commercial bank established in the Republic of Moldova.
