Users of BT Pay can issue, directly from the app, additional debit or credit cards for other people, on their BT accounts. This makes BT Pay increasingly an app for the whole family.

The card is available for immediate use in BT Pay as soon as it is issued, while the physical card is delivered later, depending on preference, to the home address or to a Banca Transilvania branch. The person who issues the card – the account holder – retains control of the funds through BT Pay’s card management options: viewing payments, changing transaction limits, blocking the card, etc.

Within the BT Pay ecosystem, we are adding features that build a distinct community, BT Pay Family, to connect family members financially and manage money together. At the same time, we are increasing adoption of online banking and improving financial literacy. Today we are introducing this feature, alongside what we already offer, BT Pay Kiddo, designed for those aged between 8 and 18 and their parents.

Another recently launched BT Pay option, available for Visa cards, is viewing and managing the card saved with merchants, useful for future payments and subscriptions.
