Victoriabank is introducing a new approach for customers by reorganizing its operations into two main business lines, Retail and Corporate. This is a first step toward replicating at Victoriabank Banca Transilvania’s organizational model. The new structure supports Victoriabank’s priorities: a differentiated approach to SMEs in the Republic of Moldova, supporting physician entrepreneurs and those in agribusiness, developing alternative banking channels, and modernizing services and products.

Vladimir Stovbun is Retail Banking Director, and Sorin Ignat is Corporate Banking Director. Vladimir Stovbun has over 20 years’ banking experience, during which he was part of the Victoriabank team that brought to market the first payment card, the first ATM, the first POS terminal and the first processing center. Sorin Ignat joins from Banca Transilvania, where he served as Agribusiness Director. He also has over 20 years of experience in banking.

Victoriabank is the third-largest bank in the Republic of Moldova by assets. It serves almost 570,000 customers, of whom nearly 25,000 are companies and around 545,000 are individuals.

Banca Transilvania and the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development are strategic partners and majority shareholders of Victoriabank, holding over 70% of the share capital. Together, they aim to continue Victoriabank’s growth and to contribute to strengthening the banking sector in the Republic of Moldova.
