● 10 hectares of new forest in Cluj County, on Saturday, October 28 ●

Banca Transilvania and Tasuleasa Social will organize another volunteer tree‑planting event for the Transylvania Forest on Saturday, October 28, from 10:00 a.m., in Tritenii de Jos, 53 km from Cluj‑Napoca. On this occasion, 10 hectares will be planted with 40,000 saplings.

The organizers aim for the Transylvania Forest planting to be, again this year, the largest afforestation initiative in Transylvania, based on the expected number of volunteers.

This is the fourth volunteer tree‑planting action carried out under the Banca Transilvania – Tasuleasa Social partnership. So far, in 2014 – 2016 a total of 30 hectares has been planted with the help of more than 4,500 volunteers. The survival rate of the 120,000 saplings is close to 90%.

The Transylvania Forest planting is part of BT’s community engagement and social responsibility program and is an opportunity to get involved in community life and encourage volunteering.
