Two of BT’s Visa digital cards — debit, in RON and in EUR — feature a design inspired by the Milano Cortina 2026 Olympic Winter Games. The cards are available in digital format and can be used directly through the BT Pay app, with this exclusive visual concept in place until the end of the year.
Banca Transilvania has been a partner of the Romanian Olympic and Sports Committee since 2022, and Visa is the exclusive global payment technology partner of the Olympic Games.
The Milano Cortina 2026 Olympic Winter Games will take place February 6–22, 2026. The event brings together more than 3,500 athletes from 93 countries, competing for 195 medals across 16 Olympic disciplines.
- The card can be requested, issued and used exclusively in the BT Pay app and is available immediately for payments, transfers, etc. In BT Pay, follow these steps: Add card/Virtual/Virtual Card.
- If you already had the Visa BT Virtual Card, the design, now inspired by the Olympic and Paralympic Games Paris 2024, has already been automatically updated.
- For the euro card, the account is opened automatically; there is no need for an existing account in that currency.
- Card issuance and maintenance are free of charge.
With its themed design, BT Pay brings users closer to the most-watched sporting event of the winter season. For sports fans, competitions mean spectacle, emotion, community and a sense of belonging to a global event.
