BT Group News | July 2025

For Banca Transilvania Group, July was about launching BT Mastercard cards in a world first, unveiling a new design for BT Visa UNTOLD cards, listing its first RON-denominated issue on the stock exchange, a new CEO for the newest company — INNO Investments, the first successful payments using the European Digital Identity Wallet, and more.

#Cards

  • Banca Transilvania and Mastercard launched the first cards in the world in partnership with the McLaren Formula 1 Team. They are two digital cards, issued and managed exclusively in the BT Pay app, one in RON and the other in EUR.

  • The bank has started issuing the physical BT Visa UNTOLD Card with OLED technology, a first in Romania, for people who registered for it online during March–April 2025 and request the card by July 31, 2025, via the BT Pay app.

  • The BT Visa UNTOLD 2025 digital card, which can be used from the BT Pay app, now has a new design inspired by this year’s UNTOLD festival theme and, starting this year, a sound effect with every payment or money transfer.

#EUDIwallet

Together with Visa, Banca Transilvania announced the first successful payments based on the EU Digital Identity Wallet. What is the EUDI Wallet? The mobile app for European Union citizens to prove their identity online, access public/private services across the EU and carry out transactions securely.
