Banca Transilvania Group, through BT Asset Management, supported the second edition of the Babeș-Bolyai University International Case Competition (BBU-ICC), organized by the Faculty of Economics and Business Administration at Babeș-Bolyai University in Cluj-Napoca.

Held in Cluj-Napoca from September 13–19, the international case competition brought together student teams from 14 universities in 9 countries across three continents to test their analytical and strategic thinking skills.

BT Asset Management set one of the competition’s two case studies. Participants were invited to identify strategic directions for developing the company’s product portfolio and to harness the opportunities that digitalization and artificial intelligence bring to the asset management industry.

The competition was won by the Asper School of Business (Canada), followed by Wilfrid Laurier University (Canada) and Thammasat University (Thailand).

Participating universities included Frankfurt School of Finance & Management (Germany), HEC Montréal and the University of Alberta (Canada), Manchester Metropolitan University (United Kingdom), Maastricht University and the University of Amsterdam (the Netherlands), Poole College of Management, NC State University, and the University of Florida (USA), Technological University Dublin (Ireland), Universidade do Porto (Portugal) and Universidad Panamericana (Mexico).

For Banca Transilvania Group, taking part in this competition was an opportunity to contribute to projects that give students the chance to work on real-world business situations and to engage with professionals from the banking and financial services industry.
