Banca Transilvania, BT Asset Management and BT Capital Partners were recognised for their 2023 performance on the capital market at the BVB Awards, organised by the Bucharest Stock Exchange, on February 29.
The BVB Awards takes place at the beginning of each year and showcases to the capital markets community the results achieved by companies, investment and pension fund managers and other participants in Romania’s capital market.
Awards received by the Banca Transilvania Group:
- Banca Transilvania – Best communication with journalists by an issuer in 2023. Financial Press Award
- BT Asset Management – Best-performing local investment fund in 2023
- BT Capital Partners – Most active intermediary in the bonds segment in 2023
BT Group was represented by Dan Dascăl, CEO, BT Asset Management; Daniela Secară, CEO, BT Capital Partners; Diana Mazurchievici, ESG and Investor Relations Director; Laura Petrehuș, Deputy Director, Communications & PR, Banca Transilvania; and Sergiu Mircea, Executive Director, Marketing & Communications, Banca Transilvania.
According to data from the Bucharest Stock Exchange, 2023 saw:
- for the first time, the market capitalisation of listed companies exceeded 300 billion lei;
- total trading value across all markets and all types of financial instruments exceeded 38 billion lei (+58% vs 2022);
- average daily liquidity across all listed instrument types, on both markets, reached 153 million lei (+60% vs 2022);
- the main BET index rose by 32%;
- the 34 equity and bond listings raised a record 5.5 billion euro;
- the number of investors reached (end-September) almost 170,000.
