EMBA University of Hull in Cluj-Napoca is launching its fourth intake, made up of nearly 30 participants. Of these, one in four is an entrepreneur running their own business.

Those enrolled work in the private and public sectors as well as in NGOs, in fields including IT, financial services and banking, energy, consulting, architecture, marketing, medicine and engineering. Participants come from cities across Romania and the Republic of Moldova: Cluj-Napoca, Bucharest, Arad, Brasov, Bacau, Deva and Chisinau, and their average age is 36. Four of them were admitted on scholarships following a separate selection process, each worth 15,000 euros and covering full tuition.

The EMBA University of Hull courses are delivered by international faculty from the University of Hull and are organized into 12 modules over two years. They take place at Babes-Bolyai University, one of the partners in this initiative, with one module held in the United Kingdom. Teaching and assessment follow the same approach as the University of Hull’s business programs in other countries, developed over more than 20 years. Graduates receive an international degree awarded by the British university. The EMBA University of Hull in Cluj-Napoca holds dual international accreditation, AACSB and AMBA.

EMBA University of Hull is an initiative dedicated to entrepreneurial education, launched in 2015 through collaboration between the business and academic communities by Banca Transilvania, Electrogrup, the University of Hull and Babes-Bolyai University. The first EMBA University of Hull cohort graduated in 2017 and achieved the best results among participants who completed this EMBA in the United Kingdom, Hong Kong, Singapore and Bahrain. At present, more than 50 people are studying at this business school. The program director is Dr. Andrew Taylor.
