Banca Transilvania received the Excellence in Human Resources Award for the Health & Wellbeing #SafePeopleofBT programme at the HR Club Gala, held on March 31.

The bank launched the programme in March 2020, and it continues to this day to support, in the context of the pandemic, the nearly 10,000 employees of the Banca Transilvania Financial Group socially, emotionally, professionally and financially.

Between February and December 2020, the participation rate in #SafePeopleofBT was nearly 90%, and more than 30 people were involved in developing and implementing the project: the BT HR team and external partners (doctors, psychologists and trainers). Over that period, the courses had almost 13,500 unique participants.

#SafePeopleofBT is the most comprehensive initiative dedicated to the BT Group team and covers initiatives and communications on:

• Physical health: remote work, prevention and protection measures, PCR testing, purchasing oxygen concentrators, weekly communications, video interviews with specialists in medicine and psychology, workout sessions with a personal trainer, flu vaccination campaign.
  
  
• Emotional health: psychological counselling, cognitive therapy, implementing a toolkit for maintaining emotional balance, mindfulness sessions, emotional agility webinars.
  
  
• Mental health: courses on developing and adapting to the new lifestyle and ways of working brought about by the pandemic.
  
  
• Financial health: financial education courses, including for employees’ children.

The programme’s main challenge was to adapt, in record time, training methods to the context created by the pandemic: developing new programmes for the bank’s e-learning platform; training the internal team of trainers to build the skills needed to deliver live training sessions; moving some programmes online; and developing learning content.
