On Saturday, March 19 this year, Banca Transilvania organized two new green volunteer projects: planting the Transilvania Forest, together with Asociatia Tasuleasa Social, and a clean-up in the Sinaia area.

More than 1,500 volunteers from nearly 80 communities, including BT employees, took part in planting the Transilvania Forest in the Sanmihaiu de Campie area, Bistrita-Nasaud County. In around 3 hours, 10 hectares were planted with 40,000 saplings: acacia, ash, maple, black pine and sea buckthorn.

That same day, 450 BT volunteers joined a clean-up in the Sinaia area, collecting over 350 bags of litter.

Both Banca Transilvania’s partnership with Asociatia Tasuleasa Social and the bank team’s clean-up initiative are part of the “BT, environmentally friendly” initiatives, promoting volunteering and community involvement.
