Banking with BT During the State of Alert: Important for Customers

Whatever the circumstances, our customers are welcome at BT. As we have over the past two months, we want to continue, as much as possible, to contribute to the shared effort to get through this period. At the same time, we’re here for our customers.

Banca Transilvania reiterates its message to customers to act responsibly — for their own health and that of others — and to come to the bank only for urgent transactions that cannot be done online. Although the state of emergency has been replaced by a state of alert, the fight against COVID-19 continues, and preventive measures help shorten the return to normal.

We move forward responsibly. What customers need to know:

1. We are maintaining safety standards:

  • Customers coming to a branch must observe the following: inside, the number of customers must be equal to the number of BT employees; at the entrance to any BT branch, both wearing a mask and sanitizing hands are mandatory; the distance between customers, and between customers and employees, must be at least 2 m;
  • Our colleagues wear masks to protect themselves and others.

2. Over 400 BT branches and agencies are open:

  • Hours are Monday to Friday, 9:00 – 16:00; between 13:00 and 13:30 we take a disinfection break;
  • You can find details and addresses for our locations here.

3. Products and services are available online or through our branches, but we continue to encourage remote banking:

  • The solutions are presented online, on the BT Help page — from phone banking and chatbots (virtual assistants) to multifunctional ATMs.

4. Call center wait time, shown on the bank’s website:

  • Those who want to call our call center colleagues for assistance (0264 30 80 28) can check the wait time on the BT Help page on our website. An alternative is to email us at contact@btrl.ro

5. How to check the status of a payment deferral request:

  • Through Ino, our virtual assistant (chatbot) on the bank’s website homepage (more about Ino here), via the BT Visual Help app (0264 308 000), or via our Call Center colleagues (0264 30 80 28, contact@btrl.ro);
  • Those who want to find out the accrued interest and monthly installment after the deferral period (OUG 37) can use this simulator.
