Banking moves forward. Banca Transilvania maintained its hiring pace in March–May

Banca Transilvania kept the same hiring pace in March–May this year as in the same period last year, with nearly 70 new roles a month nationwide. Continuing recruitment at BT was a way to support customers, business volumes and the bank’s growth, as well as to contribute to the labour market and the Romanian economy, including during the pandemic.

Hiring in March–May this year continued both for branches and agencies and for Head Office, especially for the IT & digital, operations, retail sales and call centre teams. This was facilitated by the bank’s recruitment team’s experience in conducting remote online interviews. The average age of BT’s new hires is 31.

“Despite the challenges posed by the pandemic, at Banca Transilvania we have remained one of the most active and aspirational employers in terms of human resources. The pace of hiring in March–May was similar to 2019 and confirms our profile as a preferred, stable employer, as well as the fact that people, the economy and companies are moving forward.” - said Nevenca Doca, Senior Executive Director, Human Resources, Banca Transilvania.

The BT Financial Group has almost 10,000 people on its team, with an average age of 37. For 1,700 of them, Banca Transilvania is their first job.
