During the state of emergency, Banca Transilvania sent more than 70,000 cards to customers at home, free of charge. These were for customers whose cards had expired, giving them the option to avoid a trip to the branch.

The bank also introduced updates for customers who use the BT Pay app. One of them is access to the BT digital card—which can be used immediately—before the physical card arrives, for contactless and online purchases; money transfers; contactless cash withdrawals at ATMs using a code generated in BT Pay; checking account balances and transactions, etc.
