To keep customers’ money and information safe, Banca Transilvania recommends the following:

• do not click links in unsolicited emails or messages from unknown senders, especially those that appear to be sent by the bank;
• do not open/download attachments received in unsolicited emails or from unknown senders, especially those that seem to be sent by the bank;
• access BT24 Internet Banking only via the bank’s website (homepage) or by typing the address directly into your browser’s address bar — always type it yourself, don’t use a link;
• check in your browser’s address bar that the address shown is the BT24 Internet Banking address you know;
• make sure you have an encrypted (https) connection to the BT24 Internet Banking site and that the corresponding digital certificate is issued to Banca Transilvania;
• follow best practice for securing the device you use to access Internet Banking: ensure antivirus and anti‑spyware software is installed and kept up to date; do not store your BT24 Internet Banking credentials; passwords should be strong (including lowercase and uppercase letters, numbers and special characters) and changed regularly;
• do not respond to “too‑good‑to‑be‑true” offers (by email or on social media) that ask for your card details to buy something or to sign up for a prize draw with attractive prizes (phones, plane tickets, etc.).

Banca Transilvania will never ask you for information such as the above.
