#Borntobedifferent - February 29
Today we’re telling you about #OameniidelaBanca in a different way, because it’s a special day that comes around only #odatala4ani. 😉
As it’s a leap year, in 2020 we get an extra day, 29 February. But for some, this day isn’t a bonus — it’s a minus. It’s their birthday, which they can truly celebrate only once every four years. That’s why we wanted to find a different way to wish them the warmest “Happy birthday!” possible and to show the world the wonderful people we work with.
Surprise, everyone!
Today is about our colleagues #Borntobedifferent.❤
We’ll start with Mihaela, a Customer Service Specialist at BT, whom you’ll find most of the time on the roads around Bistrița-Năsăud. She leaves home early and comes back late: “We live everywhere,” she jokes. Being constantly on the move, she gets to interact with a lot of people — which is what she enjoys most about her job. Every person is unique, and dealing with such a high flow of people isn’t exactly easy. We asked Mihaela how she manages all these interactions, and she told us everything should be handled “with energy and lots of positivity.”

Georgiana from BT Direct would say the same. She leads a team of more than 30 people across the Moldavia region. Georgiana is ambitious — and she doesn’t fight just for herself, but for everyone around her: “I build around me. I can’t grow unless my team grows. I want to help each of them grow and develop.” We asked what advice she’d give someone new to the Bank, and her answer was: “Be very patient. If you’re patient and you really want something, you’ll succeed. The important thing is to want it.”

Patience and a willingness to learn bring experience — which is also true for Nicolae, a BT 24 Customer Service Specialist, who came to Cluj for university in 2007, worked in a completely different field and joined us on a recommendation from a friend at his previous job: “I remember they dropped me off at the dorm and two days later I went back home. I come from a small town and I felt as if I’d landed in the middle of an ocean. But slowly, you adapt.” Nicolae is a family man through and through who would do anything for his loved ones. For him, their happiness is the greatest motivation in life.

At the other end of the spectrum, our colleague Alexandra from Bucharest has never felt overwhelmed by big-city hustle. For her, the 29th is a double celebration, because she’ll mark not just her birthday but also her engagement anniversary. Cristian, now her husband, plucked up the courage exactly 4 years ago and proposed during a mountain getaway. #shesaidyes! Their family has grown since: they now have a little female dog (who keeps them feeling like they’re on a treadmill at the gym) and a cat, so home is always lively..jpg)
Speaking of atmosphere, it’s no secret that in the bank’s branches it’s always dynamic for BT colleagues, and they have to keep up the pace. For the past three years, Iuliana has done just that every day at Banca Transilvania in Oradea, where she is a Customer Service Specialist. Iuliana is very energetic, and right now she’s on a trip she really wanted to take for her birthday.

And Elena Parciog is the kind of person who generally gets what she sets her mind to. She’s ambitious and competitive — in a constructive way — and that’s what makes her such a talented sales professional. She is a Customer Relationship Manager at BT Mic, and her colleagues say she’s a great teammate who can encourage you to do anything. Her word carries weight.
Communication can be seen as an art, because you need to know exactly what to say and when to say it to the person you’re talking to — and Andreea says she adapts quickly in such situations: “The dynamic is different at Banca Transilvania. I really love what I do.” She lived in Germany for a while, but homesickness brought her back. Andreea is now a Confirmations Officer with us in Cluj, and she’s been back at Banca Transilvania for two weeks. We say “back” because she had worked at the bank for four years, then moved into a different field — but over the last two years she found she missed us.

Razvan also recently marked four years at BT. He first joined us part-time while he was still a student, and today he is a Credit Cards Portfolio Manager in the Cards Commercial Department: “I handle the Flying Blue credit cards. Basically, we do everything so the customer can head off on holiday. The vibe is great — not a single day is monotonous.” To us, it’s easy to associate Razvan with travel, because back in his student days he went to America with his crew on the trip of a lifetime. The great experiences with friends continue today — this time with his friends at BT, with whom he occasionally plays in football tournaments..jpg)
We’re glad you’re the #OameniidelaBanca we’re celebrating today, and we wish you a wonderful birthday!
Happy birthday — wishing you many happy years! ❤
