At the CEO + HR Roundtable event, organized by Cariere magazine in Bucharest, Banca Transilvania was represented by Nevenca Doca – Senior Executive Director, Human Resources, and by Bogdan Pleșuvescu – Deputy CEO. The theme of the discussions was "The race for productivity growth: where leaders will allocate their HR budgets in 2025".
Statements from BT’s representatives on priorities and plans for this year:
- One priority is the successful integration into the team and organizational culture of the Banca Transilvania Group of colleagues joining from the OTP Group Romania and BCR Chișinău teams. We are running two bank integrations, in Romania and the Republic of Moldova, which will be completed on the same day, on February 28, 2025, together with the OTP Bank and BCR Chișinău teams. So far we have seen common ground, competence and professionalism, so I am optimistic. Through clarity, communication and transparency, we want to ensure an easier transition for our new colleagues and, from the moment we start working together for the Banca Transilvania Group, to be aligned in the same direction – human banking.
- We are paying close attention to how artificial intelligence brings benefits in terms of productivity and people’s experience, and for this reason we are an early adopter in Romanian banking. We are on the learning curve and experimenting. This year at BT we aim to accelerate AI literacy and adoption across different activities. We are already working with Microsoft in this regard; we have integrated Microsoft 365 Copilot, GitHub Copilot and OpenAI, AI assistants that help us be more productive in our day-to-day work, automate high-volume, repetitive tasks, and increase efficiency in software development. Adopting AI is a process that involves much more than using tools. It requires a change in mindset and the development of new capabilities. People’s talent, new skills and technology are essential for BT and for tomorrow’s banking.
- Another priority for us is to support the business by updating our organizational structure and ways of working, which entails a complex change management process.
- Talent management and ensuring BT’s continued success into the future are an ongoing priority for us. This year we will expand our existing programs so as to develop the potential of colleagues who are talented and eager to build a career in a dynamic, competitive environment. We will continue to develop our human resources management platform in-house and will include in the wellbeing programs we already have topics that are as current as possible, such as longevity.
The event marked the launch of a new Cariere series that will bring together, at each edition, company leaders and HR professionals to discuss current and future trends in the labor market.
