Banca Transilvania, an early adopter of artificial intelligence in banking, is working with Microsoft to integrate Microsoft 365 Copilot and GitHub Copilot into employees’ day-to-day work — AI assistants that foster new ways of working and increase efficiency in software development.

• Microsoft 365 Copilot offers a different experience for users of the Microsoft 365 suite — Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and Teams. It can summarize information; generate text, presentations or images; and analyze data. It is integrated into both the desktop and mobile versions.
  
  
• GitHub Copilot helps improve efficiency and quality in the BT team’s software development, with the ability to write code from specifications alone.

At Banca Transilvania, we are focused on how artificial intelligence is changing the employee and customer experience. We started by integrating AI Search into the Întreb BT platform to help customers, and now, with AI assistants, we want to accelerate new ways of working in our team’s day-to-day activity and increase efficiency on the software development side. AI Search, integrated into the Întreb BT platform in 2023

Also in collaboration with Microsoft, Banca Transilvania launched the AI Search feature on the Întreb BT platform in October 2023, built on the Azure OpenAI Service. Întreb BT is an online platform designed as a search engine, with over 2,000 questions and answers about banking. The integration of artificial intelligence has increased access to information about products, services and self-banking solutions. Nearly 55,000 unique visitors used the AI Search option on Întreb BT more than 200,000 times over four months (October 2023 – February 2024).
