Banca Transilvania, the leader of the Romanian banking market, is bringing Apple Pay to its customers today, making payments simple, fast and secure. With Apple Pay on iPhone, Apple Watch, iPad or Mac, customers can pay quickly and conveniently in stores, in apps or online.

Security and privacy are at the heart of Apple Pay: when a debit or credit card is used with Apple Pay, the card number is not stored on the device or on Apple servers. A Device Account Number is assigned, encrypted and stored securely on the device, and each transaction is authorized with a unique, one-time security code.

Apple Pay is easy to set up. BT customers will continue to receive all the benefits they currently have when using their debit and credit cards.

With iPhone and Apple Watch, customers can pay with Apple Pay in stores, restaurants, taxis, vending machines and many other places. When shopping online with Apple Pay, in apps or on Safari, there’s no need to enter card details or shipping and billing information manually. Every purchase with Apple Pay is authenticated with a simple glance or touch, via Face ID or Touch ID, or with the device passcode.
