The first home financed through the Noua Casa program via Banca Transilvania has been purchased in Bucharest. The monthly instalment is about 330 euros, the equivalent in lei, namely 1,600 lei, and the interest rate is 4.17% p.a. The client is 35, an economist, and buying an apartment was one of his plans for this year — and the reason for his first loan with BT.

The bank will extend 700 million lei in loans under Noua Casa

Noua Casa has a much broader reach than the Prima Casa program, as its main novelty is the possibility to purchase a higher-value home that meets the need for space and offers greater comfort — trends BT has also noted in customer preferences and requirements, especially this year. Under Noua Casa, both existing and new homes can be purchased if the purchase price does not exceed 70,000 euros (equivalent in lei), in which case the maximum financing amount is 66,500 euros (equivalent in lei) and the minimum down payment is 5%. New homes can also be purchased where the purchase price is at least 70,001 euros (equivalent in lei): the maximum financing amount for these properties is 119,000 euros (equivalent in lei), and the minimum down payment is 15%.
