Banca Transilvania launches BTePOS.ro, a platform where merchants can order everything they need to let customers pay by card, by phone or online.

BTePOS.ro is an online store for electronic payment acceptance products. The hub also features tailored, industry-specific solutions: for example, a café owner who wants to let customers pay by card or with their phone via BT Pay and Apple Pay, or with BT payment accessories, can order via BTePOS.ro what they need to grow sales: countertop/mobile POS, eCommerce, the Star loyalty program (installments and loyalty points), meal card acceptance, etc.

Through the BTePOS platform, merchants can order: 

• Mobile and countertop POS: acceptance of Visa/Mastercard/American Express cards; solutions for accepting payments with loyalty points and interest-free installments with STAR cards and Cardul Direct;
• Acceptance solution for BT meal cards;
• Solution for processing, via BT, transactions on unattended systems: vending machines, parking meters, charity boxes, etc.;
• eCommerce solutions for online stores: acceptance of Visa/Mastercard card payments, as well as acceptance of payments with loyalty points or interest-free installments with STAR cards.

Requests submitted online through BTePOS go straight to the BT relationship manager in the county where the merchant’s registered office is located, so there is no need to visit the bank. BT handles the paperwork free of charge, implements the selected payment solutions, and trains the company’s employees.

• 12,000 merchants are part of the STAR loyalty program, intended for BT customers who hold a shopping card. At present, over 500,000 individuals and companies have a STAR card.
