BT Capital Partners was adviser to Victoriabank, the financial intermediary for the Republic of Moldova’s first municipal bond issues

BT Capital Partners (BTCP), the investment banking and capital markets division of the Banca Transilvania Financial Group, provided advisory services to the Victoriabank team, the financial intermediary for the first municipal bond issues in the Republic of Moldova. BTCP thus successfully transferred know-how to Victoriabank, a first step towards contributing to the development of the capital market in the neighbouring country, as well as of the two towns in Moldova, Singera and Ceadir-Lunga.
The debut of the municipal bond issues on the capital market in the Republic of Moldova was a success, being fully subscribed in less than a week from the launch of the Public Offer. They were launched on August 5 this year by the city halls of two localities in the Republic of Moldova, Singera and Ceadir-Lunga. A total of 37 subscription orders were received, and the funds raised, 7.5 million Moldovan lei, cover the amount provided for in the offering prospectuses. The proceeds will be used to develop infrastructure in the two towns, with a direct positive impact for nearly 30,000 residents.
