Almost 60% of the beneficiaries to date of the Start-Up Nation program are clients of Banca Transilvania. Around 5,500 of the 10,000 projects enrolled in the program are being carried out through BT.

• More than 25,000 jobs have been created nationwide, 19,500 of them for disadvantaged people, high school graduates or people who were previously unemployed.
• The average age of the entrepreneurs is 37.
• The largest numbers of supported projects are in Bistriţa-Năsăud, Sălaj, Bihor, Timiş and Prahova, averaging 330 per county.
• To date, the bank has granted almost 2,600 bridge loans under the program, with a total value of nearly 500 million lei.
• Entrepreneurs can access the BT Start-Up Nation Package, which includes a bridge loan (fixed interest: 4.5%; arrangement fee: 0.75%), a current account, the First Year Free account facility, and services that complement banking. All of these are designed to help manage the business and meet entrepreneurs’ needs in their first year — from building the company website or an online store, invoicing, free occupational health services and recruitment ads, through to access to courses and workshops.
