Ionuț Stroe is the new CEO of BT Pensii, following approval by the Financial Supervisory Authority (ASF). Previously Deputy CEO, his promotion ensures stability and continuity in BT Pensii’s strategy.

The CEO position became vacant after Corina Cojocaru, who had led BT Pensii in recent years, received ASF approval in December 2025 to serve as CEO of BRD Pensii, a company acquired by the Banca Transilvania Group in November 2025. The acquisition marked the Banca Transilvania Group’s entry into Pillar 2 and strengthened its position in Pillar 3, opening a new stage of development for the pension administration segment.

BT Pensii manages voluntary pension funds (Pillar 3), while BRD Pensii manages a mandatory private pension fund (Pillar 2).

Once the relevant approvals are obtained from the Financial Supervisory Authority, the name of BRD Pensii and of the BRD privately managed pension fund will be changed, reflecting their affiliation with the Banca Transilvania Group.
