BT Capital Partners has reached the milestone of 35,000 brokerage accounts opened via the BT Pay app for trading on the stock exchange, which is twice as many as in June 2026.

The accelerated growth was driven by the integration of investment services into BT Pay, which makes it quick to open a brokerage account, as well as by the Banca Transilvania Group’s new product, BT România ETF, an exchange-traded fund listed on the Bucharest Stock Exchange.

Most new investors come from Banca Transilvania’s Private and Premium Banking segments, with the highest number of accounts opened by clients in Cluj-Napoca, Bucharest, Constanța, Iași and Timișoara.

The rapid increase in the number of accounts opened through BT Pay shows that investing is becoming more accessible to more people. We are seeing a shift in mindset, where saving is complemented by an interest in building long-term prosperity.
