BT Pay replaces the trip to the branch for people who want to become Banca Transilvania customers. Through this app, a current account can be opened anytime, in just a few minutes. New customers get immediate access to all app features and receive the digital debit card instantly in the app, followed by the physical card, either at one of the bank’s branches or delivered to the address of their choice. The card can be funded either by IBAN transfer or with a card from another bank added to BT Pay.

From now on you can become a Banca Transilvania retail customer directly through BT Pay. This is one of the most anticipated features of our super app, turning onboarding into a 100% online, 24/7 experience. With everything we’ve built so far in the BT Pay ecosystem, customers find on their phone what they need to do their banking, as well as answers to adjacent needs. Other BT Pay features have also been launched recently, broadening access to online banking services: opening a savings account, setting up term deposits and making foreign currency payments.

Open a savings account / set up a term deposit

• A savings account or a term deposit can be opened via BT Pay.
• These, together with Round Up, can be grouped into a single category in the app for easier management of savings.

Foreign currency payments 

• People who want to make a foreign currency payment or transfer, including instant EUR payments, can do this directly from BT Pay, provided the corresponding currency account opened with Banca Transilvania is added in the app.
• Customers who only have a lei account can open an account in any currency from the Accounts option in the app.
