Banca Transilvania launches a campaign with discounts on loans, bonus Star points and the scent of coffee
● EUR 20,000 at a special interest rate from BT
● RON 150 in STAR points for more shopping
● A free coffee from 5 To Go
Banca Transilvania has launched a new online banking shopping campaign, Declared Coffee Lover’s Day, bringing a discount on the Personal Loan and a gift in STAR points on the STAR Forte shopping card for those who apply online on the dedicated page. The campaign runs 1–5 April this year and is open both to BT customers and to those who want to start banking with Banca Transilvania.
Campaign benefits:
- Discount on the Personal Loan: a fixed interest rate of 7.5% and no processing fee for:
- The standard Personal Loan (instead of 9.9% for customers who have their income paid into a BT account, or 10.9% for others);
- The Personal Loan with life and unemployment insurance (instead of 9.5% for customers who have their income paid into a BT account, or 10.5% for others).
- RON 150 in STAR points on the STAR Forte shopping card taken out from the bank during this campaign. The points can later be used for shopping at more than 12,000 partners in Banca Transilvania’s STAR programme, where customers benefit from up to 18 interest-free installments or from STAR points worth up to 15% of the value of their purchases.
“For this campaign we chose two of the bank’s most successful products—the personal loan and the shopping card—so we’re confident customers will appreciate the offers. Our offer is for those who know that a good plan or a shopping session starts and continues with a good coffee. The campaign is an in-house project, and every step went very well with caffeine and with zamBT.” – said Sergiu Mircea, Marketing & Communication Director, Banca Transilvania.
Banca Transilvania & 5 To Go go out for coffee together
BT’s partner in this campaign is 5 To Go, the largest coffee shop chain in Eastern Europe and the most popular franchise in Romania. Those who buy a coffee between 1 and 5 April this year at one of 90 5 To Go coffee shops nationwide receive a code which, once registered online on BT’s campaign page, can get them a free coffee. Banca Transilvania has supported the 5 To Go franchise with financing from the very beginning—a 100% Romanian brand. The two brands are partners in a series of projects, such as:
- Entrepreneurial Bucharest – a programme dedicated to those who make Bucharest the capital of Romanian entrepreneurship;
- Real Mentoring – a series of meetings among entrepreneurs across the country;
- UberGreen – a ride-hailing service with 100% electric cars, in which BT and 5 To Go cover part of the leasing cost of the vehicles.
Banking + shopping = online banking shopping
In 2014, Banca Transilvania introduced in Romania the concept of online banking shopping—discount campaigns and other benefits on various products and services in BT’s offering. The themes are inspired by trends, events or holidays, and the bank has so far run campaigns such as: Bank to School, Bank Friday, DragoBT, Un Mai Muncitoresc, BaBeTe, BANKschet and Ziua Barbosilor.
