BT is once again in the Top 100 Most Desired Employers (ranked 19th), compiled by Catalyst Solutions.
Beyond the ranking, the study looks at candidates’ behavior and expectations of companies in Romania as employers. The respondents — approximately 14,500 — are university graduates, both early-career and experienced, from business, social sciences, engineering and IT and communications.
The results show the most important criteria when choosing a job and a company, namely:
- 70% put the compensation package first;
- 50% consider company benefits very important;
- 46% mention job security;
- 45% value a pleasant work environment;
- 44% prioritize work-life balance in their choices.
Comparing the results with those from the previous year (Top 100 employers), certain preferences remain consistent:
- an attractive compensation package remains the top criterion.
- job security was chosen by 46% this year, versus 50% last year.
- the option to work in a hybrid model stayed last among the criteria, with 31% of mentions.
A question asked for the first time in the study explores what flexibility at work means to candidates. More than half of them (≈55%) understand a flexible schedule as the ability to organize their tasks within a chosen time frame, while respecting the working hours stipulated in the employment contract.
Responses to the question “What are the top 5 employers you would like to work for?” were open-ended and unaided.
In 2022, nearly 1,000 people were promoted at Banca Transilvania, and approximately 1,600 new employees joined the team. BT was also among the most desired employers in 2022, according to another study conducted by Catalyst Solutions and published in January this year.
