Banca Transilvania is a mandated lead arranger in one of the largest green financings in Central and Eastern Europe, totaling EUR 460 million, extended to Enery (Austria) by a syndicate of eight banks.
The financing supports the development of the Ogrezeni project in Giurgiu County, one of the largest hybrid parks in Europe, combining photovoltaic generation with an advanced battery energy storage system. The project is scheduled for completion in summer 2027 and will generate green energy to power approximately 684,000 households, helping cut emissions by around 303,000 tonnes of CO₂ per year.
Enery is an independent renewable energy producer in Central and Eastern Europe, and the Ogrezeni project is supported by a partnership with the Three Seas Initiative Investment Fund, a fund dedicated to investments in energy, transport and digital infrastructure in the European Union member states of Central and Eastern Europe. Its aim is to enhance connectivity, energy security and economic growth across the Three Seas region, spanning the Baltic, Adriatic and Black Seas.
