BT Group News: August 2026

August was about reporting first-half financial results, financing provided to companies, and the launch of a strategic partnership dedicated to supporting Romanian companies aiming to expand into international markets. The month also brought new solutions for Romanians in the diaspora, a financial education initiative focused on private pensions, as well as the reaffirmation of BT’s ratings by Moody’s Ratings.

Banca Transilvania continued to grow in the first six months of the year. Against a backdrop of economic uncertainty and softer consumer spending, BT extended nearly RON 25 billion in financing and attracted 250,000 new customers.

Also, Victoriabank (Republic of Moldova), part of the BT Group, announced growth in the first half of the year.
