BT Group News: August 2026

August was about reporting first‑half financial results, financing for companies and the launch of a strategic partnership to support Romanian businesses looking to expand into international markets. The month also brought new solutions for Romanians living abroad, a financial education initiative on private pensions, as well as Moody’s Ratings’ reaffirmation of Banca Transilvania’s ratings.

Banca Transilvania continued its growth in the first six months of the year. In an economic environment marked by uncertainty and a moderation in consumption, BT extended nearly 25 billion lei in financing and attracted 250,000 new customers.

Victoriabank (the Republic of Moldova), part of the BT Group, also reported growth in the first half of the year.

  • BT and Endeavor Romania are launching a strategic partnership, with two programs rolled out across five countries, to accelerate the international expansion of Romanian companies. The first business destination is Spain, in September.
