BT Broker de Asigurare, part of Banca Transilvania Financial Group and specialised in insurance brokerage, has a new CEO, Valentin Coroiu. A leader in the CASCO insurance brokerage market, BT Broker de Asigurare aims to diversify its business model and become a universal broker.

With almost 25 years’ experience in insurance, Valentin Coroiu was Vice President of the Management Board at UNIQA Asigurări, where he played a key role in defining and implementing the transformation programme, developing retail and bancassurance business models, and accelerating digitalisation. Previously, he served as Chairman of the Management Board of UNIQA Asigurări de Viață and National Sales Director, and earlier as Branch Manager and Deputy Branch Manager of UNIQA Cluj.

I am more than honoured to lead BT Broker de Asigurare, for which we have big plans so it becomes one of the largest brokers on the insurance market. We are pursuing a new business model which, through a diversified offering, digitalisation and excellence in working with clients, will transform BT Broker from a specialist motor insurance intermediary into a universal broker, with a tailored approach for both individuals and companies.

• BT Broker de Asigurare’s net profit rose almost fivefold in 2024 compared with 2023, reaching 52 million lei, from 8.4 million lei.

• This is the former Idea::Broker de Asigurare, acquired by Banca Transilvania in 2021 and which was rebranded in 2024.
