BT Capital Partners assisted ROMGAZ with the Bucharest Stock Exchange listing of a bond issue worth over EUR 500 million.

Societatea Națională de Gaze Naturale ROMGAZ S.A., Romania’s largest producer and leading supplier of natural gas, listed on the Bucharest Stock Exchange for 12 years (SNG), is listing its second bond issue on the Exchange’s Regulated Market. The bonds are listed on the BVB under the ticker SNG31E and have a maturity of 6 years. The proceeds will be used to develop the national strategic project Neptun Deep in the Black Sea, which has the potential to make Romania the second-largest producer of natural gas in the European Union.

Beyond robust financial results, share price appreciation and the stability of ratings issued by specialist agencies, recurring issuance of financial instruments is one of the main ways an issuer can reaffirm its positive trajectory in the capital market. With yet another successful bond issue, featuring a longer maturity, a high level of oversubscription and a yield that is both attractive and lower than in the previous deal, ROMGAZ and the consortium, which we are proud to be part of, have achieved another important milestone on this trajectory. As of today, the instrument is more accessible to local investors through its listing on the BVB and supports the company in achieving objectives of strategic importance for Romania’s energy independence.
