Banca Transilvania, one of the largest financiers of Romania’s energy sector, has successfully completed, as Co‑Mandated Lead Arranger, the coordination of a RON 3.1 billion syndicated loan for Societatea Energetică Electrica and its subsidiaries, Distribuție Energie Electrica România and Electrica Furnizare.

The facility will be used to partially refinance existing loans and to support investment plans in energy infrastructure and in developing the renewable energy generation portfolio.

The banks participating in the syndicate, alongside Banca Transilvania, are: Banca Comercială Română – Mandated Lead Arranger and Coordinator, Lender, Structuring and Documentation Agent, Facility Agent; Raiffeisen Bank – Lender, Sustainability Agent; BRD – Groupe Société Générale – Lender; CEC Bank – Lender; ING Bank – Lender; and Intesa Sanpaolo Bank Romania – Lender.
