Banca Transilvania was recognized for its positive, sustainable impact in the community at the Sustainability Gala, with the award Targets achieved under the Sustainable Development Goal – Sustainable Cities and Communities. Organized by Intact Media Group in Bucharest, the event honored individuals, companies and NGOs that are making Romania better and supporting delivery of the 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) adopted by the UN under the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development.

What the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development means

• The 17 Sustainable Development Goals, adopted by Romania together with more than 190 UN member states in 2015, cover a wide range of topics that mobilize global action across three main areas of sustainable development: the economy, society and the environment.
• By 2030, countries have committed to eliminate poverty and hunger, combat inequality and injustice, and take measures to protect the environment.

Recently, Banca Transilvania received a very good ESG Risk Rating (17) and is classified as Low Risk following the Sustainalytics assessment of its ESG initiatives and performance.
