Small business owners can quickly apply for a BT Mic loan via the Raul de la BT chatbot to start or grow a business. It can be accessed on the BT Mic website, from a phone, tablet or computer.

The development announced today was delivered by teams from Banca Transilvania and BT Mic, in collaboration with DRUID and Namirial. It is the second new feature Raul has introduced since the start of the pandemic for BT Mic’s 11,500 active clients, alongside launching the chatbot on WhatsApp (0757 080 006). Through WhatsApp, clients can find details about their loans, such as the instalment amount and due date, as well as the outstanding amount to be paid by the end of the loan term.  

“Through chatbots we aim to continuously expand the real-time online support we offer our clients. Clients are free to check information about products and features anytime and anywhere, and to request certain services. Today, when fast access to information is essential, the Raul de la BT chatbot will also give BT Mic clients the option to apply for financing.” – says Marius Flore, Digital Banking Director, Banca Transilvania.

Options for entrepreneurs who want to apply for a BT Mic loan via Raul:

• Electronic signing of the documentation required to start assessing a financing request: Loan application, consent to consult the Credit Risk Register database, and the information notice on the processing of personal data in the Credit Bureau system. This option is available to BT clients.
• Document upload: allows you to send the financial documents that help the BT Mic team assess the application as efficiently as possible, so the loan can be granted faster, for both BT clients and those who do not currently bank with BT.
• Flexible loan simulations: based on the monthly amount you say you can pay, entrepreneurs find out how much they can borrow from BT Mic and for what term. This option is available even for entrepreneurs who are not BT clients.

Despite the pandemic and shifting trends, over the past 6 months BT Mic has financed more than 1,700 small companies and has kept maximum financing tenors, flexible amounts and collateral, as well as a 4-day response time. It has also launched on the BT Mic Blog the initiative Buy from a small business to encourage as many people as possible to choose to buy from early-stage firms, small, family-run businesses. The stories of these businesses can be followed on the blog, and people can buy from them easily, given that each article includes the company’s contact details — website, social media profile or address.
