BT Group in 2025: solid financial results and above-market growth
Preliminary financial results as at December 31, 2025
Highlights 2025
- Growth across all of the bank’s business lines
- A very active year for the Banca Transilvania Group in mergers and acquisitions
- BT ranks #1 for customer satisfaction, with the highest NPS
- +65% BT’s total contribution to the public budget in 2025 versus 2024
Banca Transilvania posted above-market growth in 2025 in lending, operations and transactions, and profit dynamics reflect strong commercial activity and operational efficiency.
BT’s mergers and acquisitions in 2025 strengthened the Banca Transilvania Group’s position in banking, private pensions and microfinance in Romania and the Republic of Moldova.
Shareholders received two dividend distributions: 1.59 billion lei paid out of 2024 profit (in June), and 700 million lei from retained earnings accumulated in prior years (in December).
Banca Transilvania ranks first for customer satisfaction among large banks in Romania, 12 points above the market average (NPS – Net Promoter Score). Customers value the quality of products and services, the team’s professionalism and the infrastructure that makes banking simpler.
BT continued to be the main financier of the Romanian economy, mobilising the most resources in the banking system to finance companies, households and Romania’s strategic projects. The bank’s total contribution to the public budget, including taxes, social contributions, the turnover tax and the contribution to the Bank Deposit Guarantee Fund, was 2.9 billion lei, up 65% versus 2024.

2025 was a year of growth for the Banca Transilvania Group, with financial results above the market and the strongest fourth quarter in recent years, which consolidated our leadership position. We completed strategic mergers and acquisitions in Romania and the Republic of Moldova. There were also two rounds of dividends. I thank our investors, shareholders and customers for their trust, and the BT Group team for their contribution to these results. We started 2026 with a robust business model, financial discipline and a sharp focus on growth opportunities. We remain committed to supporting the Romanian economy even in periods of volatility, such as the one we are experiencing.
