Banca Transilvania announces a number of changes to foreign-currency cash transactions, effective December 4, 2023.
The changes affect the following:
- Cash payments, cash receipts and foreign exchange in Czech koruna (CZK) and Polish zloty (PLN) can be carried out only at BT branches, not at agencies.
- Cash payments, cash receipts and foreign exchange in Moldovan leu (MLD) can be carried out only at the BT branches București Nord, București Vest, București Est, Cluj-Napoca, Timișoara, Iași, Suceava and Botoșani.
- Cash transactions in Australian dollars (AUD) and Japanese yen (JPY) will no longer be available across the BT network.
The following remain unchanged:
- Cash payments, cash receipts and foreign exchange in euro (EUR), US dollars (USD), pounds sterling (GBP), Swiss francs (CHF), Hungarian forints (HUF) and Canadian dollars (CAD) will continue as before, at all BT locations.
- All account-based transactions remain unchanged, regardless of the currencies held by clients.
Clients can book an appointment directly on the BT website to have priority for these services.
