February was a high-visibility month for the Banca Transilvania Group. BT published its financial results for the previous year and also marked 32 years. The month also brought important developments on the strategic expansion front, through initiatives by BT Broker de Asigurare and INNO Investments, alongside new milestones and launches that keep up the very dynamic start to the year.
2025, a year of confirmation
The Banca Transilvania Group closed 2025 with above-market performance in lending, operations and transactions. Victoriabank (Republic of Moldova), part of the BT Group, also had a year of growth and transformation.
32 years of Banca Transilvania
Banca Transilvania turned 32 in February, an occasion marked by the annual BT Founders’ Meeting, through which the bank honors its beginnings and those who laid the foundations of its story with trust, courage and optimism.
Mastercard and Banca Transilvania expand their partnership with the McLaren Mastercard Formula 1® Team
Mastercard and BT — Mastercard Official Race Partner of the McLaren Mastercard Formula 1® Team at the 2025 and 2026 Formula 1 Hungarian Grand Prix — are extending their partnership and will support two more F1 calendar stops, in two countries: the 2026 Formula 1 Austrian Grand Prix (Spielberg) and the 2027 Formula 1 Hungarian Grand Prix (Hungaroring).
Strategic expansion and investments
- BT Broker de Asigurare is entering a new phase of development by launching its own franchise network.
- BT Property, an alternative real estate investment fund for professional investors, managed by INNO Investments, acquired Record Park, a Class AAA office complex in a prime area of Cluj-Napoca. With this acquisition, the company is expanding its presence in the premium office segment.
Recognition and reputation
- Banca Transilvania is among the top five most recognized brands in Romania, according to a study by Frappe Digital. The ranking is based on unaided awareness, reflecting the brand’s real presence in the public’s memory.
- Victoriabank was named Top Employer 2025 for the fifth consecutive year based on the Employer Brand Perception Survey by Axa Management Consulting, confirming its commitment to people and organizational culture.
Early milestones of the year
- BT Visa Platinum Debit reached 10,000 cards issued one year after launch.
- BT Asset Management surpassed a historic level: RON 10 billion in assets under management and 450,000 investors, achieved in February
Launches – solutions and benefits
- A new online banking shopping campaign, Babe fără drame, running from February 27 to March 9: lower interest on loans for home and ambitious projects, cards with bonus points, leasing, prizes in BT Pay and solutions for businesses
- BT Go: open a business account 100% online, from the app.
- Visa BT digital debit cards, in RON and EUR: themed design inspired by the Milano–Cortina Winter Olympics, available through year-end.
- Diaspora: 5% cashback for Romanians abroad who open an account via BT Pay.
- Star card (Forte, Gold, Platinum): issue a card via BT Pay by March 10 for another person and get RON 150 in Star points.
- Victoriabank: the MIA Business to Business service, the first solution in the Republic of Moldova that allows companies to send instant payments.
