Banca Transilvania is extending the functionality of BT Pay with a new feature, Update personal data, designed for individual customers. The app has been regularly enhanced with new features, including ones that complement banking: donations, offers and health.

• Customers can update their personal data in the app via BT Pay/Settings/Profile.
• For the banking relationship, personal data includes information such as: identification details, contact details, occupation, employer, expected daily transaction level, etc.
• Ways to update personal data with BT:
  • Individual customers:
    • Via BT’s website, in the Personal data update section for individual customers, and through the Ino chatbot;
    • By phone (Call Center, 0264 30 80 28 or *8028);
    • Through the BT Pay app;
    • At branches and agencies.
  • Business customers:
    • Via BT’s website, in the Personal data update section for business customers;
    • At branches and agencies.
  • All banks periodically update personal data because this is a legal requirement in Romania and across Europe (Law No. 129/2019, NBR Regulation No. 2/2019, as well as EU Regulation 679/2016 on data protection). Accurate, up-to-date information enables access to products and services, to banking operations and to information received through different communication channels, and it also allows banks to apply safeguards to transactions carried out through them.  

BT Pay is Romania’s first banking and payments super-app, currently used by over 1 million people.
