Banca Transilvania customers can verify their identity at branches and agencies, including via the BT Pay app.

BT customers have two ways to authenticate in branch

BT Pay is simplifying how customers are identified in branch with the launch of a market-first feature, Authentication with BT Pay in the branches and agencies of Banca Transilvania.

The BT Pay ecosystem is expanding to include both day-to-day banking solutions and authentication in the Call Center and in branch.

The new feature complements the way customers have authenticated to date in more than 500 BT locations, using an ID card or passport, and was developed using the FLOWX.AI technology platform, based on artificial intelligence, with the involvement of Endava and Code Crafters, the Banca Transilvania Group’s technology company.

The launch brings a better digital experience for people visiting the bank – over 80,000 a day – as well as for OTP Bank Romania customers who will become BT customers at the beginning of March 2025.
