Banca Transilvania will be testing its IT systems from January 22 to 24, and on the nights of January 22/23 and 23/24, for approximately three hours each night, between 00:00 and 03:00:

• BT24 and NeoBT will be unavailable;
• Cards and BT Pay may be intermittently available.

The bank has scheduled the tests overnight and during a period that includes non-business days, when transaction volumes are lower, to minimize inconvenience for customers.

This type of IT systems testing is mandatory in banking and must be carried out annually. It is different from maintenance, which takes place several times a year and involves IT updates needed to maintain and improve BT’s hardware and software infrastructure. Both relate to IT performance and to the safety and security of customers’ data and money.
