Banca Transilvania and Endeavor Romania continue their programme to support the international expansion of Romanian companies in Greece

The Beyond Borders programme, organised by Endeavour Romania and Banca Transilvania for Romanian companies looking to expand in other countries continues in Athens from 12 to 14 October 2026. Greece is the programme’s second destination, following the edition held in Spain.

Beyond Borders brings together companies with international ambitions, Greek entrepreneurs, representatives of the Romanian diplomatic service, Endeavor Romania and Endeavor Greece, as well as Banca Transilvania. The focus is practical: direct access to local expertise, understanding the market and identifying opportunities that can support the participating companies’ next stage of growth.

The companies taking part in Beyond Borders Greece have a proven track record in the Romanian market and operate in a variety of sectors, ranging from the food industry, beauty and medical aesthetics, to fashion, industrial packaging, PET recycling, commercial furniture, exhibition systems and technology. Some are already present in international markets, whilst others are exploring new development oportunities and potential partnerships in Greece.

What we value about Beyond Borders is that it moves us beyond theory, into practice. For years, we have encouraged Romanian companies to look confidently towards international markets. Yet the experience is different when we make that journey alongside them. Entrepreneurs return from these interactions with clear priorities and to-do lists and so does BT. By better understanding what Romanian companies need when entering new markets, we also recognise how important it is to foster entrepreneurship at home. The two are closely connected: the stronger and more capable companies become in Romania, the better prepared they are to compete internationally. BT will support them at both stages, together with our partners.

Deputy CEO, Corporate & SME, Banca Transilvania and Board Member, Endeavor Romania

For Romanian companies seeking to expand internationally, access to people with first-hand knowledge of the local market can make all the difference. Through Beyond Borders, we connect entrepreneurs in the cohort with local founders and business leaders who can provide context, share experience and offer practical insights. Following Madrid, we are continuing the programme in Athens with the same mission: to help Romanian entrepreneurs understand the market more thoroughly and prepare the next steps in their international expansion.

Mihnea Crăciun
Managing Director, Endeavor Romania

For the participating entrepreneurs, the experience in Greece will be followed by mentoring and follow-up sessions focusing on the opportunities and development paths identified.

Greece is one of the markets accessible to Romanian companies, benefiting from its geographical proximity, its European Union membership and the positive development of economic relations between the two countries. The Greek economy offers opportunities in sectors such as services, technology, energy, tourism, logistics and infrastructure. According to Banca Transilvania’s analysis, ‘Economic Relations: Romania – Greece’, Romania ranks among the top ten European investors in Greece.
