BT Pay and BT Go apps are gradually replacing BT24 and NeoBT

BT Pay and BT Go are gradually replacing BT24 and NeoBT, becoming the only apps through which retail and business customers will bank with Banca Transilvania. The migration will take place in stages, starting this month and concluding in October 2025.

For Banca Transilvania, the migration means consolidating services into two super apps that are continually adding new features, while for users it means simpler banking experiences.

BT’s customer communications during the migration
Users will receive information from Banca Transilvania — by email, SMS or in-app — about switching to BT Pay and BT Go.

Recommendations for customers to keep their money safe:

  • Critically assess any messages you receive on any channel about the migration and the bank’s apps.
  • Communications that appear to come from BT — by email, phone, SMS, WhatsApp, Telegram, social media, etc. — should be verified if they raise suspicions. For such cases/to report fraud, BT’s contact details are: 0264 308 055, contact@btrl.ro.
  • BT does not request, through any communication channel, personal data or login details for banking apps.
  • The bank will not ask customers to install applications by following links.
  • Consult the information on Banca Transilvania’s website about security in BT apps, online security and migration.

The significant increase in the number of BT Pay and BT Go users has accelerated the digitalisation of Banca Transilvania’s customer base, which has exceeded 90%, and has also changed behaviours in relation to money and the bank — from paying contactless by phone, opening current accounts and issuing cards 100% online through to entrepreneurs issuing invoices.
