1. The data operator and the data subjects
Transilvania Bank S.A. (hereinafter also referred to as "the bank" or "BT") with the identification and contact details presented in General information note on the processing and protection of personal data belonging to BT Clients, processes your personal data if you use the platform - BT VISUAL HELP (hereinafter referred to as "platform"). As a user of the platform, you are the data subject of this processing.
BT Visual Help is a platform offered to BT customers (individuals or legal entities) who have at least one current account opened in their name at BT and a card attached to it, under the conditions provided by Terms and conditions of use BT Visual Help, which we recommend you consult.
2. The purposes and legal grounds for data processing. Categories of personal data and the consequences of refusing to have your data processed
- For the verification of identity and BT client status
To be able to use the platform, we will need to verify whether you are a BT client holding a personal account, and in the case of corporate clients, the legal representative of the company. We carry out these verifications in accordance with our legal obligations and because we have a legitimate interest in preventing fraud. For the purpose of identity verification, we will verify you the phone number you are calling from, to ensure that this is the one you have declared to the bank.
In case legal entities* we collect extra and verify unique registration code (respectively the Tax Identification Number in the case of a legal entity, including in the case of authorized natural persons or the fiscal registration code - CIF - in the case of persons practicing liberal professions).
*Although information about legal entities is generally not considered personal data, those of entities such as P.F.A., I.I., individual forms of practicing certain liberal professions (e.g., individual law offices, notaries, bailiff offices, doctors, etc.) - hereinafter referred to as "professionals" - have the status of personal data and we will process them accordingly.
If, based on the phone number you are calling from, we identify that you are BT Pay user and meet the eligibility conditions (e.g. you have at least one card enrolled in the application, you have completed the necessary identification process for BT Pay, etc.) you will be able to confirm your identity by accessing (within the time limit) a push notification, which you will receive in this application.
On the other hand, if you are not a BT Pay user, if you use this application but do not meet all the eligibility conditions for identity confirmation through it or if you do not want to confirm your identity through BT Pay, you will be directly asked to enter personal data consisting of CNP number and, if applicable, the unique registration code (acesta din urmă, dacă solicitați accesul pentru un client profesionist).
Refusal to approve identification by one of the previously mentioned methods will make it impossible for us to verify your quality, so you will not be able to use the platform.
- For the provision of BT services offered within the platform
After your identification, you will be able to perform the operations provided within the terms and conditions of this platform. For this purpose, we will process, based on the execution of the contract you have concluded with the bank, the following information, which is personal data when it belongs to natural persons or professionals:
- account details: account name, currency, IBAN, balance, number of Star points for credit card accounts included in the Star BT loyalty program, transaction details, blocked amounts and payment obligations, according to the provisions of the BT VISUAL HELP Terms and Conditions of Use
- the e-mail address declared in the relationship with the bank to which the current account statement or credit card account statement is sent to you, for a requested period, respectively for communications following the registration of a request to dispute a card transaction, when further communications are necessary for case resolution
- list of IBANs of current accounts opened at the bank
- card details / cards: card type (Visa / MasterCard), product name, cardholder / card user name, card number (first 4 and last 4 digits)
- information about daily trading limits: number of transactions, cash withdrawal from ATM, in-store card payments, online payments with CVV, online payments without CVV
- information about non-card credits: product name, credit account, installment value, currency, next installment date, last installment payment date, credit maturity date, credit contracting date, interest rate, type of interest, initial credit balance, current credit balance, information about credit arrears: principal outstanding, interest outstanding, commission and penalty
- information about deposits: product name, account, currency, current amount, interest rate, establishment date, maturity date, current interest, capitalization
- information about savings accounts: product name, account, currency, current amount, interest rate, establishment date, current interest
- information about active garnishments
3. Period of retention of personal data processed within the BT Visual Help platform
Your data, as a BT client, as well as data regarding the operations carried out through BT Visual Help will be kept for a period, usually, of 5 years from the termination of the business relationship of the individual or legal entity client with the bank, according to the applicable legal provisions in the field of customer knowledge, except for situations where other legal provisions require the continued retention of the data.
Any other data entered into the platform or to which BT had access will be retained for a maximum period of 3 years from the date you stop using the platform, except for situations where the law provides for a different term, in which case the term provided by law will apply.
4. Recipients of the personal data processed within the BT Visual Help platform
At some of the personal data processed within the platform, access can be granted, according to the need-to-know principle, to service providers who support us in offering the platform, who act on this data as an authorized person of the bank.
5. Rights of the data subject
In accordance with the provisions of the General Data Protection Regulation (“GDPR”), as well as other legal acts applicable in the field of processing and protection of personal data, as a data subject (BT client) of the processing of some personal data in the context of using the BT Visual Help platform, you benefit from the rights detailed within General information notes regarding the processing and protection of personal data belonging to BT Clients, integral part of BT Privacy Policies, found on Banca Transilvania website including in the section Privacy Hub a acestuia, sau, la cerere, în orice unitate a băncii.
In the mentioned general note, you will also find details about the ways in which you can exercise these rights.
6. Other mentions
This specific information note can be found anytime on the bank's website www.bancatransilvania.ro, in the section Privacy Hub or you can get it on request from any BT unit. We may review this information at certain time intervals, without creating less favorable conditions from the point of view of the processing and protection of personal data.
